Dr. Pawan Rawal completed his MBBS from Pt BDS PGIMS, Rohtak, and pursued MD and DM in Gastroenterology and Hepatology from the esteemed Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. With over 15 years of experience, he has honed his skills in clinical Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and patient care at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Dr. Rawal is proficient in managing various luminal, hepatic, pancreatic, biliary, and systemic diseases, with extensive training in both noninvasive and invasive Gastroenterology and Hepatology procedures.
His expertise includes performing adult and pediatric upper GI endoscopies/colonoscopies, ERCPs, capsule endoscopies, push and double balloon enteroscopies, as well as therapeutic procedures such as variceal banding and sclerotherapy, balloon and bougie dilatation, glue injection for fundal varices, and endoscopic management of ulcers/bleeding. He is skilled in polypectomy, argon plasma coagulation, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomies (PEG), enteral (naso-jejunal) tube placement, manometry, therapeutic biliary and pancreatic ERCP, and EUS.
Dr. Rawal has a keen interest in research, with numerous publications including original articles, review articles, chapters in books, and case reports in national and international journals. He actively participates in national and international conferences, therapeutic endoscopy workshops, and CMEs. Dr. Rawal is also committed to teaching, being involved in the education of DM fellows, postgraduate students, nursing staff, and other paramedical personnel, and has served as guest faculty at prestigious meetings in India.
