Dr Tejinder Kataria is a world-renowned Radiation oncologist who has introduced India’s first Innity Linear Accelerator with Volumetric Modulated Are Therapy (VMAT) introduced North India’s first Integrated Brachytherapy Unit and started Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy. In her 35 years plus of experience, she is credited with founding the Department of Radiation Oncology at both Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi, Artemis Health Institute, Gurugram and also setting up the Division of Radiation Oncology at Medanta-Gurugram. Dr Kataria has studied across premier institutes across India and aboard like PGI Chandigarh, University of Cambridge and University of Loads, Harvard University among others, Dr Kataria has introduced the latest evolutions in radiation treatment to Medanta such as Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRAT), Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy (IMAT) Image Guided Brachytherapy and Total Body irradiation (TBI), Total Skin Electron Therapy (TSET). Dr Kataria has been associated with the QUATRO Asia team from International Atomic Energy Agency, Vienna, since 2005 and was part of the Task Force Committee for the National Cancer Control Program from the 11th-year plan under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
